God's gives us a type of His plan for mankind in the Old Testament--Israelites were in bondage and were delivered by their "savior" Moses when they were unleavened after partaking of the Passover sacrifice the previous evening. The reality is that all mankind has been in bondage to sin and needs to be saved by Christ through His sacrifice that causes us to be unleavened.  We are freed from the bondage of sin.
