Almost all versions of Exodus 12:15 command us to remove leavening on the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread.  Understanding the Hebrew word shabath (Sabbath) in this verse dispels that understanding.  There are lessons to be learned from this study, two of which are 1) rarely use one verse to establish truth and 2) understand why leaven must be removed before the 1st Day of U.B.
