Many in our society see no reason for marriage at all. Members of God’s church recognize that He is the One Who established marriage. But do we remember that marriage portrays a mystery of Christ’s relationship to the church? Are we husbands cherishing and nourishing our wives as Christ did the church; are we wives submitting to our husbands as the church submits to Christ in everything?
