All of us need comfort and encouragement. “Negative encouragement” literally causes our brain to shift from creative thinking to crisis management. God gives us his example toward our brethren and shows His mercy and lovingkindness toward the most wicked of men when they repent. Do we edify others or depress them with our words and tone?
